Project Execution Manager
Summary As a Project Execution Manager, you will provide leadership, guidance, policy, technical assistance and strategic project management support required for all project activities performed within the region. Position Location: Public Buildings Service, Design and Construction Division, Rocky Mountain Region 8. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed. Responsibilities The major duties for this position include but are not limited to the following: Serve as a nationally recognized and respected authority on a diverse range of issues involving the establishment and administration of management controls and policy protocols designed to monitor all aspects of major new construction, repair, renovation and retrofit projects performed in Federal Buildings, Courthouses, Border Stations and leased space under the provisions of the BIL and IRA of 2022. Develops and/or implements systems designed to track and report on project activities in support of the latest Embodied Carbon Materials, Green Proving Ground (GPG) projects, sustainable technologies and other emerging e requirements and objectives, and manages information systems signed to monitor budgetary and financial obligations, scheduling, project scope and specifications and energy-related activities for assigned projects. Plans, develops, and implements information management and dissemination activities consistent with nationwide policies, procedures, and practices mandated and/or recommended under the provisions of the BIL and IRA. Develops project recovery strategies and actions to assure that projects remain on schedule, and are performed in conformance with approved financial, procurement, programmatic and/or other administrative requirements. Serves as a PBS liaison to other GSA organizational elements engaged in promoting, utilizing, or overseeing contractual services, in order to maximize existing vendor relationships and to broaden PBS' knowledge base regarding emerging contracting and procurement vehicles. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify at the GS-14: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience applying advanced concepts, practices, and methodologies of project management to service large, complex new construction, modernization and/or lease construction projects. Such experience must reflect experience performing planning, scheduling budgeting, estimating, cost analysis and control, tracking, reporting and forecasting for such projects.
