Project Field Material/ Equipment Coordinator (Construction) – Prudhoe Bay, AK

The position is expected to last a minimum of six (6) months and is located on the North Slope and requires a flexible rotational work schedule. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided; however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay.

Job Purpose\:

Responsible for working with Subcontractors and Quality Control to manage materials, including raising field material requests and material receiving. Also responsible for managing all project mobile and non-mobile equipment.

 

Reports directly to the Construction Superintendent.

 

Essential Job Functions\:

·       Raising field material requests and submitting for approval, liaising with Supply Chain to track and expedite, and receiving materials on site (physical receipt and system receipt).

·       Work with Supply Chain to resolve any OS&D(s).

·       Tracking and submitting daily logs for project equipment, ensuring equipment tracker is maintained and accurate throughout the project.

·       Coordinating bulk fuel with the client, ensuring all equipment is fueled daily and fuel logs are maintained.

·       Coordinating PM schedules with Project Mechanic.

·       Coordinating any offsite service requirements with Fleet Manager.

·       Coordinating service requirements with rental companies for rental equipment.

·       This role will require outdoor work in the winter.

·       Flexibility to provide support in other areas of the project as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\:

·       High attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities and work fronts simultaneously.

·       Ability to work safely.

·       Ability to work with computers and Microsoft Office software.

·       Ability to use small power tools.

·       Ability to follow all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.

·       Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and interface with a variety of people representing different companies.

  

Physical Demands/Work Environment\:


Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to\:

 

·       Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

·       Must stand throughout evaluation.

·       Aerobic capacity evaluation via 3-minute step test.

·       Sit and reach and range of motion evaluations.

·       Lift 25 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.

·       Lift 25 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.

·       Carry 25 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.

Required Qualifications\:

 

·       Three to five (3-5) years field warehouse/inventory control applications experience.

·       One (1) year experience working Office Suite programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).

·       Valid driver’s license including ability to be insured by Worley’s auto insurer required.

·       High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

 

Preferred Qualifications\:

 

·          Experience working with remote North Slope operations.

·          Class A CDL w/ Tanker and Haz-Mat endorsement.

·          Ability to operate equipment.
