About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Project Finance Manager to join our HomeSafe accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, with the ability to provide actionable insights and support decision-making across the organization. This position plays a critical role in monitoring financial performance and supporting senior management with financial analysis to drive business strategy.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Internal Controls Compliance:
Analyze and interpret revenue and cost data, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for enhancing strategies
o Installs and maintains sound operational accounting practices, including proactive identification, evaluation, escalation and communication/documentation of complex and/or judgmental areas.
Successful performance of all internal controls related to revenue and costs while driving compliance and governance in day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
Close coordination, partnership and alignment with leadership and various team members in operations, accounting and finance, and FP&A.
Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to reporting standards and audit deliverables.
Responsible for overseeing the move task order monthly review process as well as variance analysis from the execution of the VBA script.
Systems & Process Improvement / Ad-hoc reporting
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting, and tracking of significant volumes of Move Task Orders.
Work with the IT and accounting teams to ensure effective use of financial software and reporting tools for monthly reporting.
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required by senior management, or external stakeholders.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate accounting, or a related field.
Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (Oracle, Costpoint, FCCS), and advanced Excel skills (working with VBA scripts etc.).
Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to coach and mentor financial analyst(s) that will support this position.
Effective communicator, able to present complex financial data.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
Self-starter/proactive, expected to take initiative to research issues and provide solutions.
Experience in medium to large-sized operational accounting environments.
High level of curiosity with a desire to drive continuous improvement.
Effective engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to gain the confidence and trust of the senior management.
Detail oriented and highly organized.
Ability to deliver under tight deliverable deadlines.
Highly organized, and drives projects to completion.
Note: This position is fully remote / work from home. HomeSafe will supply appropriate equipment, employee provided high speed internet is required.
