Job Summary: The successful candidate will support the core business priorities by contributing to the delivery of project administration and generalist administrative HR services, whilst developing the skills they need for a successful HR career. Project Administration – you will assist the project team with everything from booking travel and accommodation to updating project trackers, coordinating meetings and dealing with general enquiries. General HR administration – supporting the HR team to ensure all administrative people processes are delivered with proficiency and accuracy and the employee lifecycle is fully supported. You will prepare correspondence, update the HR system and HR trackers as well as producing reports as requested. There will be some annual audits you will get involved with and you will liaise with other teams such as Reward and Benefits, and recruitment. Recruitment and Onboarding – you will co-ordinate and support recruitment and selection activities, for example, interviews and apprenticeship schemes. As well as preparing new starter information and documentation, obtaining references etc. Absence Management - keeping a track of absence, you will log any absences on the corresponding trackers and update managers. Weekly you will prepare the sickness absence log and organise medical review meetings. Qualifications The ideal candidate: No prior experience is necessary but you must have good computer literacy. Must have a genuine interest in developing a career in HR Microsoft Office: Word, outlook, Excel etc. Enthusiastic and willing to learn Great communication skills Great people skills Can work under own initiative Self motivated Part of your training will be carried out at our other distribution centres and therefore it is important that you are available to travel and be away from home for up to 3 nights a week over a two/three week period We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is valued, respected, and feels a sense of belonging.
