Project Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineer

BL Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Hydrologic and Hydraulic Engineer, with 3+ years’ experience, to grow our transportation team in our Hartford office. This position is for a project-level engineer to work on bridge projects in Connecticut, and would assist BL’s staff on similar projects in the northeast.

Responsibilities:

Completion of hydrologic and hydraulic tasks, including report preparation and reviews Design and selection of hydrologic flows, hydraulic modeling analysis, scour depth calculations and countermeasure design and floodway analysis Development of permit applications.

Required Experience:

Experience in report development HEC-RAS Experience Permitting Experience Preferred EIT preferred Excellent oral and technical writing skills Two-Dimensional modeling experience a plus
