The role of Project Lead, Software is to provide cross functional leadership on key high value projects for the PSS and GSS business. Assures that quality is built into the design during new product development. Proactively monitors the program timelines and develops strategies to mitigate risks. Provides oversight for various projects and core team initiatives to ensure on-time delivery of the program. Report out on the progress on a routine cadence to senior management.
This position is based out of Bangalore and reporting to the Software Manager for PSS.
What you'll be doing
R&D Focus: Plan, execute, and deliver all subsystem, business, and customer commitments. Translating program/project objectives to an execution levelDrive the process to provide a fully aligned subsystem plan and help integrate it with the overall program plan.Manages a cross-functional team on delivering a PSS and GSS products.Understands and deploys processes to assure conformance to the Baxter New Product Development (NPD) & Sustaining process in an expedited manner.Make sure the Baxter Quality management system is followed in all programsContinuously reviews program progress, proactively identify risks and collaboratively develops and drives risk mitigation efforts.Interacts frequently with all levels of internal management as well as across functions and business units.Participates in interactions with customers and regulators concerning product design, systems and processes.Identifies and manages continuous improvement projects that may span multiple sections or departments with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements.Responsible for adherence to specifications and procedures that have been established to ensure product quality.Develops long term plans for product development proposals.What you’ll bring
Bachelors/master's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or equivalentMinimum 4 years of project execution experience. Overall, 12 to 15 years of experience.Experience in Program Management or related field in medical products industrySuccessful execution of Electromechanical systems/products/parts/processes involving product conceptualization to commercial release.Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standardsDemonstrated experience working with vendors with different models of engagement.Strong leadership skills and demonstrated success in managing a cross-functional team.Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issuesIn depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for Design, Development, V&V and Manufacture of Medical products.Outstanding Budget management skills – Finance, resource deployment & Material tracking and utilization.Reasonable Accommodations
