Job Title: Project Manager - Construction
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee multiple construction projects on the west coast of the US. This role involves managing overall project schedules and budgets, preparing detailed reports, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring quality control. ResponsibilitiesManage overall project schedule and budget, including management reporting for multiple projects.Prepare project status reports addressing schedule, budget, safety, and current open issues.Monitor contractor performance with respect to cost and schedule performance tracking.Develop detailed user criteria documentation for facility project activities.Develop scope of work for the procurement of AE and construction-type services.Manage Project Engineers to review Specifications, Utility Standards, Drawing Reviews, and coordinate with customers.Monitor and coordinate architect/engineer site visits and responses to contractor inquiries.Monitor delivery and review of shop drawings and submittals.Attend job site meetings with contractors and consultants to monitor progress on activities.Provide an initial review of vendor and contractor payment applications, validating actual project progress against the approved schedule of values.Evaluate, negotiate, and make recommendations regarding proposed change directives and change orders.Oversee the contractor’s Quality Control program and ensure Quality Control procedures adhere to the plans.Essential Skills5+ years of construction project management experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.Experience with individual project sizes of $1M or greater.Technical knowledge of design/building construction engineering and schedule management.Experience managing a team of project engineers, construction coordinators, and safety personnel.Experience working in the construction of light industrial facilities/warehouse/office space.Intermediate to advanced skill level with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).Additional Skills & QualificationsTechnical knowledge and understanding of project scheduling and estimating.General understanding of construction safety programs and requirements.Software capabilities: AutoCAD, Blue Beam, Microsoft Visio, PlanGrid.Work Environment

This role requires experience with commercial and industrial renovations and facility improvement projects, with a primary focus on the commercial side. The candidate may need to work up to 10 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, depending on project status. The position requires onsite presence and occasional travel (about 10%) to resolve concerns with customers and contractors. We offer 10 PTO days and 9 paid holidays per calendar year. Any hours worked over 40 are compensated at time and a half, and we take care of all travel for contractors. Our team values flexibility with schedules and work/life balance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00
