**A Snapshot of Your Day** As the Project Lead Engineer (PLE), you'll kickstart your day by taking charge of two to three exciting projects simultaneously. You'll dive into customer contracts, extracting the vital information for your team, and then evaluate the progress of your team members. You'll expertly review the scope, identify any gaps, evaluate on time delivery of engineering documents, and organize meetings to clarify technical issues. As you mentor your fellow Engineers, you'll keep the fire burning by reporting to your manager and other leaders within the business about significant developments. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Leading a team of experts for mechanical, fluid, electrical and control systems towards the project management. + Acting as primary point of contact for the project management for technical auxiliaries’ scope on a project. You will interface with both local and global Siemens Energy Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Installation teams in support of project execution activities. You will facilitate information flow between Engineering, Project Management, and our customers as required and agreed. + Representing auxiliaries engineering in customer communication. + Leading the contract technical scope and document schedule for auxiliaries from project kickoff through handover to our customer. You will coordinate appropriate flow-down of contract requirements to the Engineering teams at kickoff. + Highlighting risks of execution to Project Management and Engineering. You will manage internal engineering change requests and support external technical scope changes to support Project Management during project execution. + Building the interface between the Installation team during erection and commissioning of Siemens Energy equipment, at Customer sites. + For projects in the bidding phase, you’ll coordinate engineering input for e.g. project risks and delivery dates. **What You Bring** + Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field. Advanced degree/certifications preferred (Master, Dipl.-Ing, MBA, PMP, and/or PE Certification). + 8+ years in power plant project execution, with knowledge of Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and/or Generator auxiliaries. Background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering or a comparable field. + Eager to learn and acquire experience in related cross-discipline areas. Able to prioritize work and compete tasks. + Effective communication (written and verbal) across multi-functional teams; influential leader. Fluent in spoken and written English language. + Proficient in MS Office and Siemens Energy tools such as Fabasoft, ERSR, IDEA, SAP, Teamcenter, and COMOS/ePlan. + Travel up to 20% annually, including international travel, for multiple weeks at a time as required to support site installation activity. + Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. We are responsible for contract evaluation (including clarifications and risk assessment) and document schedules for auxiliaries’ scope on large rotating equipment projects. We lead teams of 3-15 engineers assigned to our projects from the departments of mechanical, fluid, piping, electrical and control systems. We coordinate with Project Management, Supply Chain, Quality, TFA, and external Customers on project topics.
