Job Description

As a Consultant / Project Leader - level depends on the candidate’s previous experience and interview performance - you will play a leading role in the growth of our Upstream Oil & Gas team through client development and case execution, intellectual property

Expert case execution:

Execute or provide expertise and support to projects in Upstream Oil and Gas for our key clients in the South East Asia Provide mentorship and support to consultants ensuring continuous individual development

Intellectual property & product creation:

Provide intellectual leadership for the project teams by generating key ideas and conceptual frameworks to guide research and analysis Build intellectual property & products driving fundamental transformation in Upstream, such as offshore operations efficiency, relationship with suppliers, fiscal negotiations, and agile ways of working in an EP asset among others.

Business Development:

Help grow a business, work with the Energy leadership team to expand footprint, identify products to create and client opportunities, develop and grow team Work jointly with BCG and client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site Actively support our business development efforts: client meetings, commercial discussions, preparation of proposals, industry conferences

 

Requirements

On a Consultant level: at least 5 plus years of work experience either at a leading Oil & Gas operator, Oil Field Service company or consulting firmsOn a Project Leader level: 7-12 years of experience with leading consulting projects for a top-level advisory or consulting firms are a must, with a track record of project/team leadership and related achievements Willingness to travel internationally and to work remotely on client sites Engineering or similar background from a top-tier institution is a plus Analytical and structured with excellent problem-solving skills (hypothesis driven approach etc.) Solid business acumen and commercial capabilities Excellent communication and persuasion skills Excellent written and spoken English (SEA local language is a plus) Frequent travelling required Personal AttributesFlexible, curious and creative, open for new things and able to propose innovative/ entrepreneurial ideas
Collaborative team player and positive attitude Intercultural exposure and experience of working in more than one country and/or multi-cultural teams Driven, hard-working, entrepreneurial, proactive and productive
