We are seeking a Project Leader 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets. 

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Active DoD SECRET clearance level is required

What you’ll do: 

The Deputy Project Manager is a training position that consists of learning how to supervise and direct the employees on a particular project, prepare strategic plans and budgets, develop a comprehensive project plan, and analyze statistical data.

Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project. Identify change orders and ensuring effective resolution. Price, track and manage change orders. Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses, provide weekly and monthly reports Maintain as-builts as work is completed. Document project issues/conditions. Plan and execute project completion and punch list. Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize organize, and accomplish your work. Read and interpret blue prints and project specifications. Research and compile submittals; pricing change orders and prepare estimates for partially designed projects by finishing the design and preparing a complete project estimate. Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. Communicate with people outside the Company, representing the Company to customers, the public, the government, and general contractor representatives. Clearly understand the timeliness required for decision making, submission of RFIs, and documentation of all verbal conversations or agreements.

Key Requirements:

BS in Engineering (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 7+ years of experience. Master's Degree in Engineering and 5+ Years of progressive experience in the following
Related Construction experience with five years' working for an electrical or construction contractor. Experience working on construction projects ranging from $500,000 to $10M.  Experience working with contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals. Experience with CPM Scheduling Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints and drawings on projects. Must have strong interpersonal and writing skills and be a problem owner/solver. Proven ability to effectively plan and organize one's own activities or the activities of others. Proficiency with Computers including MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF.

Preferred Skill set

Accubid Estimating (Or equivalent) directly related to Electrical Installations. Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling Experience and proficiency (or equivalent). Ability and Willingness to Travel to project locations as needed.
