Role Purpose

Propose plan, coordinate, and control small projects involving technical systems or participate in larger more complex projects under supervision of lead project/program manager. Assist in development of solutions and resolving complex problems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Establish project plans (scope, schedule, cost estimates, project acceptance criteria, etc.) for assigned area of responsibility Actively participate in project meetings and document key issues, action items and decisions Effectively participate in all phases of project execution to include appropriate initiation, planning, implementation and control, and close-out elements Provide periodic project updates to project manager and functional management Direct responsibility to project manager for project results Utilizes Corning's Tollgate process as appropriate to direct project activities.  Potential for 5-10% travel for this role at times depending on the project. Required Education and Experience We require a Bachelor’s Degree – preferably in a technical field (Engineering or Physical Sciences). 0-2 years experience with Project Management  Ability to collaborate with cross functional team members (commercial, technical, operations) under the direction of experienced project/program managers Ability to discern technical approaches by asking the right questions of the team and communicate updates Ability to develop strong relationships  Able to make sound decisions by blending analytical thinking with practical judgment, bias toward action. Desired Skills A passionate and creative problem solver  Organized, meticulous attention to detail, results oriented self-starter, and motivated  Effective verbal and written communication skills  Technical aptitude Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project).

The range for this position is  $63,667.00   -  $87,543.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
