Who you will work with
This is an opportunity to be a part of Bain’s AMS CoE, based out of Gurugram office, and specifically support Bain Global case teams on live cases, client development and proposal support. AMS CoE consists of 70+ team members, organized into ~18 teams, working across various sectors such as real estate/construction, heavy machinery, commercial aviation, logistics & transport.You will work on AMS projects and get exposed to various BCN products ranging from go-to-market strategies, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking to excel models, survey analysis, and ad-hoc studies, on live client cases as well as for business/client development.Project Leaders lead teams of analysts and associates to produce client-ready research and analysis, generating strong business insights and providing implications. Project Leaders work under the guidance of a Manager / Sr. Manager, playing a key role in driving the team’s overall answer and final materials, client communication, work planning, and team management. The expectation is to eventually provide significant direction and support to resolve complex issues and effectively manage client and team meetings. As a Project Leader, the individual would mostly be working on topics across the commercial aviation value chain including – Airlines, Aerospace OEM's, MROs and related sectors.
About you
Work experience range in case highest qualification is undergraduate studies – 5-8 years in consulting/ research/ analytics, with hands on consulting or industry experience in the Commerical Aviation (Airlines, Airports, MROs etc.). Prior experience/ familiarity Alteryx, any BI tool, and working with large datasets are essential.Work experience range in case highest qualification is postgraduate studies – 3-6 years in consulting/ research/ analytics, hands on consulting or industry experience in the Commerical Aviation (Airlines, Airports, MRO etc.). Prior experience/ familiarity Alteryx, any BI tool, and working with large datasets are essential.Incumbent should be a graduate or post-graduate from top-tier institute or have pursued a commerce/statistical/analytical course from a tier 1 university.Candidate should be currently working in strategy consulting/research-oriented set-up and possess acumen to solve open-ended problems within commercial aviationProficient in research and analysis and basic understanding of aviation datasets from Aviation Week, IATA, Cirium, etc.Able to interface with primary client contact (Bain Aerospace and Defense Practice Leaders from global offices)Display independent secondary research, analytical, and storylining skillsThink out-of-the-box to solve for niche case scenarios, through baselining and benchmarking of global best practicesOpen to intermittent travel to other Bain offices/client locations on live casesWhat you’ll do
Project management responsibility that involves leading a team of Analysts and Associates to execute a caseWill be a subject matter expert in the commercial aerospace sector, focusing on the production and demand for various aircraft globally. This role involves maintaining a comprehensive understanding of industry trends, updating forecasts, and providing analytical support through reports and publications.Maintain a high level of expertise in trends and issues facing the commercial aerospace segment of the global market for aircraftProvide content thought leadership & may manage simple cases independentlyEnsure timely, high quality, zero-defect research, analysis, output and possess acumen to solve open-ended problemsEffectively manage client and team meetings, and deliver effective presentation to the team, team leaders and managers/partners across the Bain systemAble to interface with primary client contact May have first-level team management responsibility, which involves allocating and reviewing work to a small team of analysts and conducting performance / feedback discussionsProvide content thought leadership & may manage simple cases independentlyWhat makes us a great place to work
