**Description**
Leidos is seeking a summer intern with a Business or Computer Information Systems (or similar) background to join our team in support of the SMIT contract, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT), the Leidos team delivers the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Ultimately, the Leidos team supports the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also saving significant dollars by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. The successful candidate will support Project Management efforts to improve SMIT and gain efficiencies/effectiveness for the program.
**Primary Responsibilities**
Contribute to the Portfolio Project Management team’s projects supporting Infrastructure Services, Cybersecurity and Operations, Digital Workplace, End User, Claimant and Platform Application Services.
+ Work with Project Managers to update actions and status for ongoing projects.
+ Work with Service Delivery Manager to track work assignments, collect information and share status updates to the team.
+ Participate in project internal and external meetings for data collection and reporting.
+ Work with Project Managers to identify and track project risks throughout the life of the project.
+ Support project reporting, metrics collection, test and deployment management activities.
+ Prepare status reporting regarding project milestones and deliverables.
+ Assist in the proposal process as necessary.
+ Support the development and maintenance of processes, checklists, and procedures.
**Basic Qualifications**
+ Enrolled in a degree program as a Business or Computer Information Systems (or similar) major with graduation planned 2026 - 2027
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to obtain a security clearance
+ US citizenship required
+ GPA of 3.0 or better
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Ability to create and edit project documents, materials, and presentations, including schedule management.
+ Candidate should possess excellent leadership, organization, communication and time management skills.

**Pay Range:**
Pay Range $39,000.00 - $70,500.00
