Project Management Internship - 2025

The Project Manager Intern will be a full-time (40 hours/week) opportunity for 12 weeks from May to August. As part of the internship program, students will gain additional skills to prepare them for entering the job market, including interviewing, presentations, and performance evaluation to further enhance their experience. 

The tasks assigned will be at a level consistent with assignments given to starting four-year college graduates. The internship will conclude with a presentation on the project and summer experience to the LCS leadership team.  In addition, the intern will obtain an overall understanding and exposure to other teams and jobs at LCS.

The Role: 

The Project Manager Intern (PMI) is responsible for assisting Project Managers (PM) and Project Development Managers (PDM) with certain aspects of planning, development, design, and construction of new and redevelopment projects related to senior housing as assigned by the Director of Development. The PMI must have the ability to work with colleagues, clients, and project teams in a cooperative manner while remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism, and confidentiality.

Experience: 

Prior exposure to project management tasks related to development and construction a plus. Prior exposure to project management tasks related to development and construction a plus. Junior, Senior, or graduate status In pursuit of a degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field Previous internship experience desired

Knowledge & Skills

Experienced MS Excel, MS Word, Smartsheet, and MS PowerPoint Knowledgeable with reading and interpreting construction documents Highly self-motivated, strong personal initiative and solid judgment Proven to work accurately while under pressure of deadlines Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external key stakeholders Analytical skills as a problem predictor, not just problem solver Comfortable interacting/interfacing with clients, contractors, suppliers and design consultants Self-Motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and flexible in prioritizing work tasks
