Project Management Internship- Rolling Stock

We are looking for a Rolling Stock Project Management Intern. This position will be based at our Sacramento area branch located in Ca. 


The candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced Siemens Commercial Project Managers on Rolling Stock projects across several US states. This includes autonomously working on dedicated work packages in close interaction with the project team and finance teams.


What your day-to-day will look like:


Attend internal project meetings, work with Commercial Project Managers and Project Managers in the US and abroad and support the execution of existing projects in the Rolling Stock Locomotive business. Specifically, the candidate will support the areas of project cost controlling, forecasting, reporting, risk management as well as data analysis.Cost controlling and accounting as well as experience with Microsoft office word and excel. It further requires strong communication and organization skills, and attention to detail. Rolling Stock continues to advance their digitalization of finance so any additional skills with dashboard tools like Tableau and Power BI is a plus.Experience in data extraction, analysis and illustration of results would be an additional benefit.Must take initiative and work autonomously to ensure progress and to complete delegated tasks before deadlines.

The hourly pay range for this position is $24 - $28 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year.  The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.  Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
