Short Description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for CCMIS replacement project. The initial task is for the gathering of the requirements and creating the RFP.
Complete Description:
The project manager will be responsible for conducting the meeting to gather the business requirements and functional requirements. This will include meeting with the stake holders and conducting JAD sessions. The candidate will also have to develop the RFP and may assist in the selection of the vendor.
The Project Manager directs controls, administers, and regulates an enhancement or development program. The Project Manager is the individual ultimately responsible to the agency. The Project Manager must ensure that the program is completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements.
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study. A minimum of 5 years of advanced administrative support experience preferably on large project. Advanced information and task organizations skills. Proven analytical skills. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
Years of Relevant Experience: 7 plus years
Role Description:
•Assist the Project Management Team as necessary.
•Review and/or develop project management schedules and plans for use by internal and external stakeholders
•Reviews project proposal and deliverables with the selected vendor, the State Project Managers and other related departments that will be involved to determine proper lead-time, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project tasks, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
•Monitor and review any status reports needed to track progress of project activity daily
•Prepares project Status reports for the Sponsors, State Project management team, and others, as prescribed.
•Responsible for working with State Project Director and project staff on updating and refreshing all project documentation.
•Communicate verbally and in writing to multiple project stakeholders internal and external to the organization.
•Coordinate project tracking and reporting.
•Track and Report on project deliverables.
•Track and Report on project budget.
•Track and Report on status, risks, issues, budget and other areas as needed.
•Controlling and organizing the documents generated throughout the project.
•Maintaining the project schedule.
•Ensuring project compliance with applicable regulations.
•Maintaining budget information.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
