Essential Responsibilities
As the Project Management Specialist, you will:
Be responsible for on-time project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resourcesAssist Project Director in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERPParticipate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director with preparation & coordination of customer, internal, and/or supplier kickoff meetingsDevelop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activitiesSupport the development & issuance of the Project Management Plan & related project plans and project procedures; promotes the implementation of project plans and project procedures across the larger project teamSupport the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project toolsEnsure compliance with U. S. government requirements as applicableSupport coordination of project activities; monitor and control progress on project deliverablesEnsure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirementsOrganize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management PlanLead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reportsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college -OR- a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience working on projectMinimum of 1 year of experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other STEM disciplineFundamental-level financial or accounting knowledgeDemonstrated organizational skills, particularly when related to project executionExperience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designsKnowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environmentDemonstrated ability supporting project budget, schedule, and quality objectivesFinancial control knowledge and understandingDemonstrated professional interpersonal and leadership skills, including high level of motivation, integrity, and self-confidenceAbility to take initiative and to work independentlyAbility to influence othersExtreme attention to detail, follow up, highly organizedDemonstrated ability to balance workload under short deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsStrong process orientation in approach to workExceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office suiteGE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in Canada for this opening.
