What does this role look like?



Do you have a passion for working on emerging technologies? The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers. We have opportunities in the FBM group to get in on the ground floor of a modernization effort that will shape the future of the organization. This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Program (SSP) partners to field several future strategic systems that the nation urgently needs.

In this role will offer you the following daily responsibilities:



Lead/manage projects related to cyber operations and data migration.

• Act as a multi-positional player who can work in an ambiguous environment that can bring efforts to successful outcomes.
• Manage various project schedules.
• Lead and/or support projects related to Program Protection.
• Lead and/or support projects related to the modernization of the program infrastructure.
• Develop solutions to problems and effectively identify, manage, mitigate, and control risk.
• Establish and cultivate relationships with functional program leadership and customers to ensure achievement for program objectives.
• Integrate between various program and functional support areas.
• Other duties as requested by leadership.

Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education,
• 7 years of professional experience,
• Experience collaborating with multi-functional teams to meet common goals and objectives,
• Ability to manage projects and project schedules,
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity discipline,
• Professional experience with Windows-based software applications (such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and/or other project management software,
• Demonstrated success addressing issues, identifying questions, relaying information and finding solutions,
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity requirements.
Experience working the FBM program.
• PMP certification.
• A self-starter mentality showing initiative and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and meet demanding schedules in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability to changing requirements.
• Experience with Program Protection to include but not limited to, classification management, physical/industrial/cyber security requirements.
• Demonstrated effective problem and conflict resolution skills including experience with root cause analysis, corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $100,400 - $192,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
