The Operations Project Manager will lead targeted change initiatives with a primary focus on improving critical commercial business processes and business excellence initiatives across distribution and facilities operations. Collaborating closely within a cross-functional team environment, this role will work with key business stakeholders to identify areas of improvement as well as creating, managing, and tracking progress of projects to support the organization’s short and long-range business objectives. The position will require the ability to collaborate with customers, project team members and sponsors to identify improvement opportunities, develop and execute plans (objectives, scope, issues, risks & budget) and monitor progress/milestones.
Let’s talk about Responsibilities:
Manages multiple projects with broad ranges to meet business and corporate goals and objectives.
Assists in the preparation of business cases to initiate projects.
Establishes requirements with customers and key stakeholders. Thoroughly understands the nature of the business requirements for each project. Makes important and strategic decisions which may significantly impact the overall project deliverables to the customer.
Assists with the development and management of project budgets and schedules while striving to meet performance requirements to these guidelines. Actively participates in the development, submittal and approval of the project planning and funding. Applies project management discipline and rigor to ensure successful implementation of projects.
Establishes roles, responsibilities and competencies required for the project. Builds and manages an effective project team, including defining and obtaining required resources, utilizing internal and external personnel resources with the ability to operate in a matrix organization.
Develops an overall project plan that may include Project Charter, RACI matrix, risk assessments, timeline and milestones, financial projections, performance measures, and communication and change management plans.
Establishes organization and governance structures to successfully deliver project objectives.
Effectively leads teams to meet project deliverables.
Provides recognition to project and customer team members.
Conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses using appropriate tools and techniques to understand severity of potential risks.
Identifies project uncertainties and risks and recommends risk mitigation strategies.
Escalates decisions and unresolved issues to appropriate parties.
Owns a project through predefined completion criteria.
Communicates project goals, objectives, key status information and overall impact of the project effectively with project team members, customers, and key stakeholders.
Conducts lessons learned for projects and shares and applies learnings to future initiatives.
Develops and maintains subject matter expertise on project management methodology.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience:
Required
Completion of a state university sponsored certification program in Project Management or equivalent independent study.
3-5+ years minimum project management experience.
Project Management skills and methodology. Familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus.
Has organized and managed large and/or complex projects ensuring efficient use of resources and effectively delivered results that meet or exceed expectations.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of processes and tools for managing all phases of a project.
Able to coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience working in a cross-functional team environment, especially with IT partners on systems and tech integrations in support of DC operational initiatives.
Good understanding of Supply Chain, Facilities, and Distribution Center operations.
Demonstrates initiative and a sense of urgency for achieving results.
Strong problem-solving skills including working effectively across functions and locations.
Strong negotiation, presentation, listening and communication skills at all levels (internal, external, global).
Cross cultural awareness and sensitivity with the ability to adapt style to fit culture.
Familiar with global business environments and supply chain dependencies.
Understanding of sales and distribution channels.
Preferred
B.S. in Business, Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
PMP Project management certification.
Experience with Oracle or comparable ERP systems.
Experience in working with large data sets and creating/modifying dashboards, i.e., Tableau dashboards.
Certified Lean 6 Sigma Green (or Black Belt).
Competency in current project management tools, e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Strategic business perspective.
Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may be considered.
Job Environment:
This role will be performed in a hybrid work environment determined in collaboration with the hiring manager. Work from home, at the office, and ResMed distribution centers can be expected. Must be available during core business hours. Physical demands include desk work, occasionally walking, and at times handling product in a warehouse environment. The noise level in the warehouse environment is usually moderate to high. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:
$97,000 to $146,000 USD Annual
