Your role at Baxter:

Join Baxter as a Project Manager, Procurement (f/m/d): you will be responsible for continuous further development of procurement. You will work with cross-functional project teams in an advisory, supportive and leading position. In collaboration with your colleagues from R&D, you will face challenges together and develop innovative solutions, thus contributing to our mission of saving and sustaining lives.

Responsibilities:

Lead Sourcing partner for NPI Teams jointly accountable for delivering products on time at the right cost

Drive the collaboration with R&D, Marketing, and Category Management to assemble technology requirements and Roadmaps and work to ensure a Supply Base is in place with Technologies required to facilitate the NPI Pipeline

In conjunction with R&D Engineering, facilitate Design for Manufacturing and Product Tear Down/Design sessions with appropriate Suppliers to generate and leverage material cost reduction ideas into new product designs

Utilize Should Cost models to benchmark, analyze, and reduce the Costed Bill of Materials quoted by Suppliers

Develop, align, and communicate Supply Chain Maps for Products with risk analysis and mitigation plans in place

Interpret and understand integrated business plans and supporting manufacturing financial models in terms of Labor, Material, and Overhead drivers for products

Developing and utilizing make/ buy, should cost, and Total Cost of ownership models

Requirements:

Successfully completed studies in the field of business administration, economics, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering

5+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience with direct material components, contract purchased finished products and sub-assemblies

5+ years supporting New Product Introduction teams in a Program Management role with Strong Project Management Experience, especially with Engineering related projects

Regulated industry experience is preferred and Medical Device industry experienced is highly desired as well as knowledge of manufacturing processes and sourcing for Metal Forming, Machining, Injection Molding, and Electromechanical motors and actuated structures

Demonstrated leadership and influence skills that alignment and decisions in matrix Environments

Strong communication skills in both English and German languages

Supply management professional designation (CPM, CPSM, or Equivalent) preferred

Experience working in ERP systems like SAP or JDE is preferred

Strong customer focus with a “do whatever it takes” attitude as well as well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
