Project Manager, Sales Education - Europe Region

Job Description
This role leads regional efforts to positively impact sales force retention and productivity by providing educational strategic direction, curriculum creation, research, and analysis. Manages the development of the regional educational strategy, grounded in a competency-based educational framework and a competency-based learning management system (Link & Learn). Sets regional strategic direction for content, messaging and educational programs and systems. Manages and creates regional and customized sales force education materials, provides strategic guidance and support to the subsidiaries, and operates as the educational resource for the region. Conducts regular trend analysis (both macro and micro) identifying opportunities to innovate and modify existing or create new methods for education delivery. Conducts strategic data analysis of the LMS and existing programs, designing, adapting, and modifying as needed for relevancy. Manages the design and execution of NSD educational events including WEU/CEU NSD Assembly, NSD Summit and Dallas Seminar. Contributes and collaborates with Global Salesforce Education on global education strategy, content creation and execution, providing insights and advocacy for the Europe Region.
 
 
 Responsibilities

Leads and executes regional education strategy. Works closely in support of Manager, Europe Sales to drive vision and strategic execution across Europe Regional educational efforts such as career, product, selling and event education. For global efforts, supports strategic development, design, and execution of Global NSD Scholar Week as part of the Global Scholar Planning Committee and sharing of best practices globally through partnership with Global Education team colleagues. Creates and executes strategic direction for educational events tailored to the needs of our Sales Force and regional goals. Leads and facilitates market connection and best practice sharing for the determination of educational needs for region. Works to ensure teachings and overall event theme promotes this vision. Selects and works closely with mentor speakers (NSDs and NSDEs) to ensure their classes also fit the vision and adhere to the framework provided. Leads main aspects of the planning, organizing, and facilitating of education in regional events with accommodation to the unique needs of our event attendees from across Europe. Manages, designs, and develops curriculum, including facilitator manual, participant manual, and visual aids for essential communication and behavioral techniques topics such as: asking questions, techniques for leading others, managing business, listening skills, memory skills, self-evaluation, team building, influencing others, apprehension, booking, selling, and recruiting. Adapts and customizes existing curricula to meet the cultural needs of the subsidiaries. Curriculum is created in concert and collaboration with Manager and shared for use across multiple educational media: LMS, webinars, face-to-face, event education, etc. Creates and manages support materials for the subsidiaries, including written and audiovisual educational materials. Writes and edits product and sales training materials as needed.  Partners with Global Education team as a key stakeholder and advocate for Europe regional sales education needs. Regularly meets and aligns with global sales education team to aid in building the global salesforce education strategy, defining imperatives and leading regional execution of global guidelines or parameters.  Charged with sharing European best practices and experiences. Manages all aspects of LMS platform including but not limited to: curriculum development, data analytics, content auditing and support. Will monitor and update LMS as needed to support business needs and strategy. Point of contact with LMS vendors as well as market education leads. Directs competency-based education and LMS strategy within the Europe Region. Establishes a regular review and communication to regional and market management on usage and metrics review to ensure ROI and ongoing system engagement. Serves as a point of contact and “on call” subject matter expert to Europe Region education leaders for opportunities or evolution needs on the learning management system. Provides regional input into strategy for any additional global core content needed/requested, based on competency-based educational framework. Works with other regional sales education and sales staff, business leaders and subject matter experts to understand sales force needs, market needs, and region needs and uses this information if needed to create effective educational content and learning strategies. Takes part in training summits, conference calls, live meetings, and conferences to share information and expertise to help other individuals and teams understand how to create and follow lesson plans and how to create, monitor and analyze assessments for educational content. Conducts detailed trend and metric analysis (both macro and micro) focused on identifying opportunities to innovate existing education methods or create new methods as needed to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. Continuously focused on personal development and education opportunities to perpetuate the development of educational strategies for a mobile independent sales force in the 21st century. Tracks progress and development in each subsidiary by conducting ongoing evaluative process of current and future needs. Conducts regional information exchange sessions via conference calls, e-mail, Sales & Marketing conferences, and market visits to gain insight of subsidiary staff, independent sales force needs, and corporate perspectives. Coordinates with local and regional staff to determine the efficient use of Mary Kay literature, sales education, and sales strategies for new and existing markets. Gathers and assesses and reports on metrics, identifying opportunities and executing an action plan against those opportunities. Metrics are available through Link & Learn, SFM, specific SF educational surveys, event surveys, etc. Leads collaborative efforts between region and markets to promote best practice sharing. Operates as a liaison between markets in region to promote a collaborative effort amongst the educational departments. Efforts are reliant upon regular call structure with markets and amongst markets in Europe as well as supporting the Global Education Council and Global Community of Practice. Performs comprehensive sales education needs analysis in conjunction with subsidiary staff. Conducts regular, on-going communications with subsidiary sales education staff along with frequent partnering among regional team colleagues in the Sales Development and Marketing areas. Through the analysis process, identifies needs and opportunities for each subsidiary and creates comprehensive plans for the market based on current status, desired growth, and Company goals. Provides updates on metrics, research and results to supervisor, country, and regional management. Also, serves as a liaison with regional COE, markets, and outside vendor to highlight technical issues requiring support of the Link & Learn learning management system. This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility.

Field of Experience:  5 years of curriculum creation, educational facilitation and strategic management in a sales organization, educational facility or equivalent.
 
 
Education:  Bachelor/University Degree
Education Focus:  Business, communications or education. Masters degree in Education or business is a plus.

Must be able to manage multiple projects and demonstrate a high level of project management skills. Must demonstrate flexibility in changing environments and shifting priorities. 
Proven use of business analysis and sales force/consumer data in order to interpret results, identify opportunities, and influence strategic business decisions to maximize sales, teambuilding and earning potential. 
Candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with a reliable and professional work ethic where attention to detail and rapid execution are essential. 
Excellent interpersonal communication, organization and analytical skills are required to work successfully with country and region management team, provide support and guidance to country staff. 
Must possess a sense of urgency, be proactive and display collaboration, flexibility, and diplomacy skills. 
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint. Experience with Canva preferred but not required. 
Previous experience working in a learning management system and creating curriculum in a tool such as Articulate could be beneficial in this role.
 
10. International travel may be required up to 10% of work time to support the needs of the European Region.
