The Project Manager, Federal Services is responsible for achieving net income growth by creating earnings opportunities through all aspects of federal project execution including development, planning, contracting and construction. They will engage and collaborate across the system to implement new and existing initiatives that maximize earnings and customer value for all subsidiaries.
**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Develop strong relationships and communicate effectively with customers, account managers, and business partners.
+ Develop and/or manage energy related projects which add value to both our customers and Company, including scope of work, energy calculations, construction budget, and schedule.
+ Build and lead project teams across various organizations that thrives on customer interaction, embraces innovation, design excellence, exceptional performance, and safety.
+ Interface with engineering firms, construction firms, equipment manufacturers, Account Managers, and customers.
+ Direct and manage project development from beginning to end, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
+ Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents, effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
+ Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, setting and continually managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
+ Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones (work & financial) using appropriate tools.
+ Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
+ Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
+ Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.
+ Conduct project closeout reviews and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
+ Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred; engineering degree preferred.
+ 8+ years of project management experience required; federal project experience preferred.
+ Knowledge of commercial & industrial MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, including lighting, boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, switchgear, motors, transformers, sanitary plumbing, and water treatment.
+ Must have experience managing multi-million-dollar projects
+ Ideal candidate will have full life cycle project management background
+ Ability to resolve problems and other issues in a positive manner between customers, manufacturers, contractors, and other stake holders.
+ Track record of building and leading teams.
+ Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
+ Strong organizational and project management skills.
+ Willing to travel approximately 60% of the time to customer locations as part of project oversight and relationship management responsibilities.
+ Microsoft office skills required; Maximo preferred
