Business Title: Project Manager – GMG (Global Market Group)

Department:  PMO                          

Reports To:   Asia R&D Director/Global PMO Leader

Work Location: Guangzhou           

Role Summary                                                          

The Project Manager has primary responsibility of leading multi-functional international teams to successfully execute projects of various complexity by defining, planning, tracking and managing the key project deliverables. The Project Manager is responsible for identifying key resources and providing the direction required for meeting the project objectives.The Project Manager will also be responsible for providing timely project updates in Bubble (Project Management Tool) to make sure the GMG (Global Market Group) Portfolio is updated with the latest information, working closely with the GMG Portfolio Manager. 

The Project Manager will also work closely with the PMO Group Leader to help support/facilitate PMO process/systems improvements for GMG.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities   

·Utilize the Project Management tools to lead complex projects to help deliver the GMG business goals:

Have a clear understanding on what is needed to successfully execute projects for the different international markets.

oIdentify project resource needs & work with PMO leadership to ensure projects are properly supported. Ensure all team members understand their roles and accept their responsibilities.

·Create timelines for each project and drive deliverables to due dates to meet ship timing

Lead weekly multi-functional international team meetings to identify/address risks/mitigation plan, issues, discuss status and action items - clearly communicate agenda, action items and status of projects.

oUtilize the PM tools to prepare, track, and report on the project plan/status

oManage changes to preserve business plan commitments. Initiate change management/ reviews if objectives change.

Conduct Lessons Learned and report out key findings.  Apply key learnings to management of future projects

·Utilize the PM tools to prepare, track, and report on the project plan/status to ensure the GMG portfolio is updated

·Provide input to help continuously improve the effectiveness of the PMO globally.

Education and Experience                                                          

BA/BS Degree (science preferred, but not required) from an accredited institution8+ years CPG industry experience (preferably R&D, Operations or Engineering) within project managementOTC or regulated product categories experience a plus.Global project management experience a plus.PMP certified preferred but not required

Skills and Competencies

Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel Spreadsheets, Word, etc)Experience successfully handling a portfolio of projects at a Global scaleExperience leading multi-functional international teams in a matrix organizationExcellent communication skills (oral and written in English) with experience presenting/tailoring discussions to all levels of managementDemonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and conflict managementExceptional troubleshooting and problem resolution skillsCritical thinking and decision-making skillsProject Management skills (MS Project, Gantt charts, cross-functional leadership).Familiarity with a Stage Gate product development process preferred.Experience with FDA regulated products preferredKorean/Japanese language skill a plus
