The vendor indexing team works with vendors to develop indexed records for FamilySearch patrons, assisting them in their family history research. We initiate projects with approved vendors and, in close partnership with content experts, select projects, compile the necessary operational requirements, and create proposals for vendors to bid on. Once a vendor is selected, we work with vendors throughout the operational process so that we can ensure that we receive a quality project that can then be used to help FamilySearch.org users research, find, and link generations of ancestors.
