Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager Per diem available for non local candidate. Position is located on a project site near Omaha, NE however travel to an adjacent job site in Indiana may be required during various parts of the project. Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in Omaha, NE. The role involves providing Project Management support services for Global Capex management and PMO initiatives, driven by increased R&D efforts and new product creation. The candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, initiating, executing, and overseeing technical projects, particularly focused on new production facilities in Nebraska and Indiana. Responsibilities + Lead the planning and initiation phase of technical projects, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. + Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and costs in collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. + Conduct thorough project kick-off meetings to ensure alignment on project goals, roles, and responsibilities. + Identify project resource requirements, including personnel, equipment, and materials, and allocate resources effectively to ensure project success. + Manage a project team of 10 Project Engineers, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and fostering a collaborative work environment. + Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure project milestones are achieved. + Conduct regular status meetings and project reviews to keep stakeholders informed and address any concerns or deviations from the plan. + Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams, to facilitate clear and effective communication. + Provide regular updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables, and address stakeholder feedback and concerns promptly. + Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives throughout the project lifecycle. + Conduct stage gate reviews with all internal and external stakeholders to implement project controls and escalate issues as needed. + Identify potential risks and dependencies associated with technical projects and develop risk management plans to mitigate and address these risks. + Monitor project risks and issues, implement risk mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues to stakeholders as needed. + Continuously assess project risks and make adjustments to project plans and strategies to minimize the impact on project outcomes. + Enable continuous improvement within the project team, encouraging innovation, creativity, and knowledge sharing. + Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and best practices to be applied in future projects. Essential Skills + Project management experience, especially in managing Capex projects. + Experience in leading at least two projects valued at $50 million or more. + Strong project coordination skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proven track record of involvement in projects from inception to completion. + Ability to provide guidance and leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Work Environment This is a fully onsite role based in Omaha, NE, with approximately 50% travel to Middlebury, Indiana. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of project objectives. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
