Job Description

Z Modular seeks a Project Manager to oversee the construction of our multi-family modular projects. Reporting to the General Manager of Projects, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all activities concerned with the fabrication, erection and final turnover of our Z Modular projects, as well as ensuring frequent progress communication with project teams.

 

Responsibilities:

Manage entire projects – start to finish.Manage, schedule, and track work with engineers and architects.Oversee the organization, scheduling, budgeting and implementation of the project.Prepare all Site Based Subcontracts.Negotiate with prospective subcontractors and vendors, prepare and track change orders, assist in design and preparation of specification, and organize other information to insure the projects ultimate success.Prepare schedule of values.Prepare a project plan for approval by management.Prepare and update project schedules with input from project staff and, if required, assistance from the Scheduling DepartmentNegotiate change orders with subcontractors, architects and engineers.Complete all required reports.Assist with preparation of all Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, requisitions, proposals, etc.Assist with all site purchased materialApprove payment of invoices received from vendors and subcontractorsEnsure that all on-site activities are carried out in strict accordance with Company and Government safety regulationsCollaborate with other project teams on a regular basis.Attend Design/Engineering and AOC meetings.Conduct project management calls with Z Modular personnel.Other duties as assignment by management.

 

Job Requirements:

Specific qualifications for the Project Manager role include:Bachelor’s degree in Building Science preferredMust have a minimum of (5) years of commercial construction Project Management experienceAbility to travel to site locations within the US,  minimum of once/month up to once/weekProficient computer skills in Microsoft OfficeAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to collaborate across multiple teams and disciplines, including but not limited to construction, logistics and manufacturing groups.Ability to work in a fast-paced construction manufacturing/construction environment where upfront planning is pivotal to the success of our projects
