Job Description

This company is looking for a Project Manager to join the Engineering Team to oversee CAPEX projects at their facilities. This role includes leading a team comprising controls, packaging, and plant engineers, managing projects up to $80M with durations ranging from 10-24 months. Current projects include seasoning line upgrades, new air conditioning installations, wastewater treatment, and building updates. You will deliver capital projects, develop capital project plans, and lead external partnerships effectively.

75% of your time will be spent delivering Capital Projects, 15% of your time will be spent on capital project development, and 10% of your time will be spent leading and developing external partnerships. Additional responsibilities are listed below:

Job Responsibilities:

75%\tDeliver Capital Projects

•\tProvides leadership for the execution of all capital project phases: Initiating, planning, execution, testing, turnover, closure.

•\tAccountable for developing and implementing multiple capital projects simultaneously.

•\tUses engineering knowledge, judgment, creativity and experience to lead engineering initiatives of high complexity and long duration.

•\tProvides technical direction to project teams to develop sound engineering alternatives and recommendations.

•\tWhen needed, establishes new procedures and technology, identifying new industry trends with a continuous improvement mindset.

15%\tCapital Project Development

•\tPromotes and teaches a performance-driven (versus task-driven) project management process during the development of capital projects.

•\tDemonstrates negotiation skills to \"sell\" projects through the capital approval process.

•\tDevelops the business case, technical feasibility and plan for customer (plant) acceptance.

10%\tLeading and Developing External Partnerships

•\tDevelops and manages relationships with external engineering partners.

Required Qualifications:

1. 7+ years experience as a project manager or project engineer (Project budgeting, purchasing, equipment installation, balance multiple projects at once lead teams)

2. Bachelors Degree in Engineering

3. Lead a team of 3+ engineers or technicians on projects

4. Experience coming from a Food & Beverage or high automation facility.

5. Experience working with suppliers, venders, procurement, purchasing
