Project Manager Job Description Summary:   D&G is seeking an exceptional Project Manager to support the Defense Logistics Agency Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIP). This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a dynamic multi-functional team working with a wide range of technologies and vendors and a growing company with proven success supporting DLA. Roles & Responsibilities:   + Manages a wide range of technical and research/development projects in support of DLA’s SBIP. + Leads technical reviews of R&D projects for groundbreaking and innovative ideas in the field of strategic and critical materials, recycling, supply chain, advanced manufacturing, and industrial base assessments to assess the potential for development of domestic sources of supply. + Ensures SBIR participating companies understand and comply with contract requirements and Program Manager direction. + Schedules and documents technical review meetings, manages action items. + Guides SBIR participating companies and DLA and Armed Services stakeholders through the SBIR project process and source approval requirements. + Responds to data requests and other administrative tasks as required by the Team Lead. + Supports the DLA PM on researching and defining technical and engineering requirements used in procurement requests with industry small businesses. Requirements:   + Bachelor’s degree. + 5 years of experience in a SBIP program office or similar program office responsible for R&D/SBIP type projects. Eligibility Requirements:   + Clearance- Must be able to pass DoD background investigation. DoD Secret is preferred. Desired Skills:   + Experience managing SBIR (we’re the only ones who use the SBIP acronym, it is just for our program and/or Research and Development projects. + Ability to work with cross-functional teams between the Government Program Manager, DoD Functional and Technical Managers, Industry, and SBIP small businesses. + Demonstrated capability to develop project plans and oversee the cost, schedule and performance of small businesses executing SBIP projects. + Experience in the fields of mechanical re-engineering, strategic and critical materials, and/or defense manufacturing. Location:   +  Remote. Occasion travel to DLA HQ Ft Belvoir, VA, industry forums and/or work locations. *This role is restricted to U.S. person(s) (ie., U.S. citizens, permanent residents and other protected individuals under the immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
