Responsibilities We are seeking a mission-focused Project Manager to support and contribute to our government customer’s success inWashington, DC! The Project Manager leads teams to deliver projects, managing resources, schedules, and budgets while ensuring adherence to SDLC and quality standards. Responsibilities include handling risks, issues, and change requests to ensure timely, on-budget delivery. The role also focuses on process improvement and ensuring project outcomes align with business case benefits. Additionally, the Project Manager advises on best practices and works effectively with various stakeholders, from engineers to senior leadership. Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities + Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall project is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives. + Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one or more projects simultaneously. + Builds, supervises, and coordinates activities of the project team to assure the project meets the project sponsor and stakeholder expectations. + Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities. + Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence. + Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization. + Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project. + Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership. + Understand the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs. + Demonstrate a functional acumen to support how solutions will address client goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices. + Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution. + Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to various audiences. + Ensure that projects proceed according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. + Manage project issues and risks to mitigate the impact on the baseline. + Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices. + Extensive understanding of project management principles, methods, and techniques. + Proven success in providing leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. + Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop business requirements and user stories. Qualifications Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies + U.S Citizenship + Department of Energy (DOE) “L” or “Q” Clearance or an active Secret or Top security clearance from Department of Defense (DOD), with the ability to transfer to DOE to achieve a Q clearance. + Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. + PMP Certification. + Scrum Master Certification (within 6 months of hire). + Previous technical project management experience. + Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, ITIL, SDLC / Waterfall. + Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills, including leading up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations. + Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence. + Build and maintain relationships by engaging customer leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives. + Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), and interpersonal skills. + Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands. + Must be assertive and confident. + Flexibility for travelling as some may be required. + Research best practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results. + Experience in successfully leading projects to on-time, on schedule, and within budget close. + Experience working both independently and, in a team, -oriented, collaborative environment. + Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and time-lines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. + Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Projects, ServiceNow, and Smartsheet. + Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies. Work Schedule Full-time on-site Pay Rate The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
