The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is a pivotal role within our Global Delivery & Solutions team, ensuring the delivery of technical solutions that achieve business outcomes. The TPM will lead the end-to-end management of complex technical programs and initiatives, focusing on planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-team alignment. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams, architects, product managers, and other stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to stakeholder management, a strong bias toward action, and expertise in Agile methodologies. The TPM will act as an equal partner with technical teams to ensure successful delivery across various domains, including software development, data migration, and consulting projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and project manage consulting engagements for enterprise customers, including data migration, software development, and training projects.
• Manage internal and external teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Maintain communication among account teams and project members, leading regular project review meetings.
• Translate project vision and scope into actionable goals for the team.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and control tools using standard PM software.
• Ensure compliance with internal reporting standards and practices.
• Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
• Support sales and business development by contributing to proposals, scopes of work, delivery estimates, and resource planning.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication channels.
• Facilitate alignment between teams, functions, and divisions through OKR planning, dependency management, and impediment removal.
• Provide both executive and team-level status reporting on program/initiative progress, risks, and achievements.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to build and execute a clear delivery plan, refining it as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead the identification and mitigation of risks, optimizing delivery processes to improve team satisfaction and project outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and lessons learned, fostering a culture of Kaizen.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience working with engineering teams on complex, multi-team initiatives using Agile and traditional methodologies.
• 5+ years of experience in a role such as Technical Project Manager, Product Manager, or Software Architect.
• Strong technical expertise in systems/cloud services and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process and operational excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with technical tools and automation to scale programs and solutions.
• 3-5 years of experience as a project manager in a professional services or consulting environment.
• PMP/PMI certification or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams to achieve project goals within cost and schedule constraints.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with technical experts, sales teams, and other project managers.
