Our client - a Hispanic-language media giant - is hiring a IT Financial Project Manager.

The Project Manager is needed to provide leadership and support our financial reporting transformation initiative. This role will ensure on-time, in-plan, and in-quality delivery of the Finance Reporting Transformation project while helping to mitigate encountered risks. The role will be primarily based out of Teaneck, NJ with some required travel to Manhattan.

A Day in the Life

Ensure alignment and commitment of all project stakeholders and core team members. Drive project tasks to completion in a timely and efficient manner that follows established processes and procedures. Analyze and manage project performance, budgets, schedules and issues.
Lead project status meetings. Develop and maintain detailed project plan, including budget and schedule.
Track and resolve project issues. Review all project deliverables to ensure they meet or exceed performance standards. Manage project expectations, scope, risk, and changes; provide issue identifications and resolution with senior stakeholders; oversee development of work plans at the required level of detail which indicates key dependencies, resources, and project time-frames. Ensure that goals and objectives of the project are understood and agreed upon with sponsors.
Oracle EBS would be a big help with Modules such as AP, GL, AR, Procurement, Planning. This person needs to Lead this project and be an excellent Communicator. THey are on Version 4.1 for Business Objects and if they had experience as the End User or have Familiarairty would definately be great. Data Warehouse Experience is important.

What You Bring to the Team

Minimum 6 years in leading cross functional Finance projects. Previous experience in Finance Transformation and knowledge of Financial Business Processes is a must. Self-motivated and driven to achieve results in a positive manner, displaying ethical behavior, integrity, and building trust at all times. Experience in Data Warehousing Projects and the capabilities with Business Objects Reports. Excellent verbal written and presentation skills. Team player, able to work effectively at all levels of the organization across business, operations and technology.

Nice to Have

Experience in the Media domain and proven track record in executing projects with a Finance Business focus. Knowledge of emerging business trends in Media – Digital, TV and Radio Good understanding of Data Warehousing issues, trends, and technologies MBA or other advanced degrees CPM, PMP and/or CPA Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt

My ideal candidate would have some practical Finance experience.  It is one thing to guide the build of a Finance Data Warehouse, it is another to be able to speak intelligently to the business about the processes which are performed by a Finance Dept.
