Your Role
Gensler Project Managers are dynamic and enthusiastic professionals who are passionate about design and innovation. What You Will Do
Lead collaborative design teams and work closely with Design Directors to establish effective project workplans with attainable project objectives
Manage all phases of architecture and interior architecture projects, from project programming through design and construction administration
Contribute to preparation of proposals, negotiate contracts and fees, and coordinate bidding process
Manage scheduling, budgets, staffing, project set-up with clients, sub-consultants, vendors and contractors
Track financial performance of projects
Develop and maintain client relationships
Actively support firmwide sustainability and resilience goals, guiding clients and project teams toward multi-benefit sustainable and resilient design solutions
Champion Gensler’s diversity and inclusion goals with respect to teammates, partners, and consultants
Your Qualifications
Over 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, Architect, and Interior Designer within a commercial architecture and design firm, demonstrating versatility across diverse project types. Proven experience—or strong interest—in transitioning to a dedicated Project Manager role, with expertise in developing project scope and fees to ensure transparency and alignment with client expectations and budget requirements.Proven expertise in managing technically complex projects, including Data Centers, Command Centers, Labs, Government, or Industrial Facilities, with a strong engineering-forward approach.Skilled in leading projects of varying scales and mentoring both Interior Designers and Architects to foster talent and growth within project teams.Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills that drive team cohesion and project success.Dedicated to a collaborative design approach, balancing creativity with practical execution to meet client and project needs.Extensive experience in negotiating project scope and fees, ensuring transparency and alignment with client expectations and budgets.Well-versed in local building codes, regulations, and industry standards, providing confidence in code compliance and best practices.Advocate for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and sustainable design principles, with a track record of integrating these values into project workflows and outcomes.Holds a professional degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Architecture, Interior Design, or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.Credentials such as Architect licensure, NCIDQ certification, or LEED accreditation are advantageous, showcasing commitment to professional growth and industry standards.Passionate about sustainable design and green building practices, with a portfolio featuring at least one project certified under LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL, Fitwel, or Net Zero.
