Job Title: Project Manager Job Description The Lead Project Engineer’s main function is to execute capital projects for the site from conceptual phase through construction and closeout. Manage and provide technical support for projects with scopes that impact significant plant areas, scopes with multiple intertwined technical disciplines. These include Capital Projects and Plant Improvements/initiatives. Provide technical support to any and all areas of the plant, striving for continual improvements in plant safety, efficiency, and quality. Assists with development of budgetary scopes, project descriptions. Writes-up, reviews, and submits/routes capital projects for approval. Develops/Assists in Gantt charts and bid package completion. Manages project overall cost and escalates for significant over- or under-run of project. Works with subject matter experts in Manufacturing Technology, Process Technology, Maintenance, Operations, Procurement, and other departments as needed throughout the project life cycle to gather information, estimates, and technical or experiential knowledge that is outside their personal area of expertise. Schedules and prioritizes work for nested contractors. Ensure that safety and environmental considerations or concerns are properly addressed and resolved through Safety Review meetings and PHA/MOC’s as appropriate. Plans/assists in commissioning and start-up. Obtain signoffs on final project completion form to formally turn system back over to the appropriate owner. Ensure that all the person-out items are properly completed, including Training, Preventive Maintenance Implementation, and Project Documentation. Perform all work with a Can-Do attitude, striving for high quality, timely completion of projects.
