SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.

This project manager position is a key role at out Nuneaton site, which has recently received sizable investment to increase our packaging operations on site significantly, with the role geared towards CAPEX projects with the aim for continued growth and evolution of the site.

You will be working on a range of projects which vary in size and complexity, consisting of equipment and machinery upgrades, reviewing and removing redundancy and installation of new items. Working on projects from end-to-end, from the development of project pipelines and feasibility studies, CAPEX proposals, to completion on time and in budget – with a focus on creating a 1–3-year plan.

A key part of this position is working with stakeholders at all levels, across functional and technical groups, internally and externally to ensure a cohesive project function; including engineering, H&S, logistics, NPD/R&D, business systems, and end users.

YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

Developing and managing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Collaborating with site teams to balance resource and operational considerations to manage and ensure the successful delivery of the project portfolio on time and in budget.Conducting PDI’s, FATs and SATs in line with SDUK and legislative guidelines.Engaging with site teams to develop a project pipeline, scopes and specifications, looking ahead for the next 1-3 years.Ensuring H&S, regulatory, statutory and SDUK compliances and requirements are met.Preparing and submitting CAPEX requests, generating and maintaining capital project documents, capital cashflow and management and accurate forecasting, and compiling accurate reports relevant to project status.Implementing and monitoring engineering best practices, including asset care and improvement programs.

YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…

An experienced project manager who can demonstrate hands-on delivery of multiple relevant CAPEX projects in a production/manufacturing environment.Someone who strives for high standards, seeks innovative solutions, and drives continuous improvement.Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively across all levels and functions, both internally and externally.Extremely organised, with effective planning and time management skills.A logical problem solver, with a track record of presenting ideas in a practical and pragmatic style.Experience with MS Project or similar tools.Some knowledge or experience with CDM 2015 is ideal, but not a prerequisite (experience and knowledge can be gained here)
