About the job:
Kent is looking for a Project Manager to be based in Corpus Christi, TX.

You will support our team’s projects for downstream petrochemical, refining, plastics, low carbon energy, and decarbonization markets.Skills and Responsibilities: Be a champion for Health, Safety, Sustainability and Environment, Lead responsible areas for Quality, both in technical deliverables and to the expected delivery of services.Lead development of technical proposals, inclusive of evaluating scope, cost, and schedule as part of a project execution strategy.Manage and comply with complex master and professional service agreements and contracts in collaboration with Commercial and Legal as related to Engineering, Program, and/or Projects/EPC services.Meet key project indicators developed as part of the execution of a project.As owner of the change management process, ensure that changes from initial project objectives and scope of work are properly and timely identified, clarified, documented and formally communicated to the Client.Be accountable for scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and procurement on projects which you are managing.Develop bi-weekly and monthly (and additional as required) management reports for Client and Kent Executive Leadership.Provide guidance on design processes and/or construction methods.Participate in review and improvement of company’s project management best practices.Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience: Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification: Prior direct experience in managing petrochemical/chemical, refining, plastics, LNG, Renewable energy, low carbon, carbon capture, decarbonization projects is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or other related technical degree from a four-year college or university.Minimum 10 years direct work experience in a project management capacity.Minimum 20 years direct work experience in the OG&C sector working with an EPC firm, would be a benefit to have Small-Mid EPC energy project sector experience.In depth understanding of the Oil & Gas industry.Understanding of the engineering and construction industry by way of experience in past employment with EPC companies or clients.Self-starter with hands-on approach and out-of-the-box thinking in development of project execution strategies that win projects.Experience and proficient in stage gate process.Ability to bring diverse team together to lead in a positive and high performing manner, while attributing performance through being a focused business driver.

Communication:Strong team player with exceptional communication and organization skills; focal point of all owner communication.Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Behavior/ Core Competencies:Strong leadership skills that promote collaborative culture and provides guidance to the project team.Proficient skills in the Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.Proficient skills in reading and understanding cost report trends and forecasting and working with project engineering to bring project team to meet budgets.Proficient skills in understanding the links in a critical path schedule to analyze and forecast outcomes and develop recovery plans as required.
