Job Description
The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting Project Managers with project scheduling, monitoring, and progress tracking to the customer. This includes managing all resources to accomplish the contract scope within the defined cost and schedule. The Project Engineer must exhibit excellent management, leadership, and communication skills.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in the cost, schedule, scope, and quality management of the program or project throughout its life cycle.Support opportunity identification, concept development, and generation of customer-specific proposals.Participate in development, verification, validation testing, full-rate production, and product line phase-out as applicable.Understand technical elements of the program or project to make informed decisions that reduce overall technical risk.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in building HVAC with a focus on building automation controls (3- or 4-year program).Proficiency in project expectations, scheduling, monitoring, and tracking job progress.Experience with tools such as MS Project, Microsoft Office suite, and ERP systems.Experience with Adobe/Bluebeam PDF editor.Additional Skills & QualificationsUnderstanding of Automated Logic Controls and third-party control systems.Experience in construction and electrical knowledge.Ability to handle multiple simultaneous challenges across different disciplines.Work Environment
This position covers the NY & NJ territory. Candidates will drive their own vehicles and be reimbursed for daily expenses, including tolls and mileage (up to 56 miles/day). Initially, there is no need to report to Clifton daily; candidates can go directly to job sites from home. Typical working hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. No on-call shifts in the install group. After transitioning to a full-time employee, additional benefits include a company car, EZ pass, and company credit card.
