Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager to join our team and make a significant impact in the Carolinas market. This role involves directing activities of workers involved in implementing environmental construction projects, managing project teams to ensure quality and accuracy, and maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.
ResponsibilitiesDirect activities of workers concerned with implementing environmental construction projects.Manage and coordinate the project team to ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables.Oversee the project timeline and budget throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.Facilitate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.Communicate strategy, budget, goals, and expectations to staff.Provide guidance and coaching to Assistant Project Managers/Project Managers.Represent the interests of project managers within the company, ensuring they receive required support and resources.Establish individual and group accountabilities and goals for performance development.Essential SkillsRelevant trade experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Duct Work, Piping, and Mechanical Installation.Ability to read and interpret documents.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and geometry.Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in project management, change order, and project coordination.Experience in construction management, especially in HVAC mechanical systems.Ability to communicate effectively with Owners, Architects, and Clients (OAC).Work Environment
The work environment is split between office duties and frequent site visits to monitor progress and communicate with Owners, Architects, and Clients (OAC). The candidate will be offered a company vehicle and is expected to travel between sites. Most projects are in the commercial sector, including healthcare, higher education, pharma, and government.
