Focus: The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget by acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Project Manager Essential Job Functions:

Develop comprehensive project plans, including defining the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines. Allocate resources efficiently, ensuring the right team members are assigned to tasks, and manage budgets to keep projects within financial constraints. Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing concerns to ensure alignment and satisfaction. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them, ensuring projects stay on track despite challenges. Monitor project progress and performance, implementing quality control measures to ensure deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.

Project Manager Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree* 5+ years recent relevant experience in a project manager role in one of the following industries: Construction, Military or Manufacturing. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. Experience in manufacturing, construction, or military background is highly desired.

 Location-Specific Requirements:

Must possess a valid US driver's license This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.  This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required. This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant.  Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen.
