Project Manager
Description We are in search of a Project Manager to be a part of our client's team in Palo Alto, California. The Project Manager will lead high-impact projects within the healthcare sector, focusing on optimizing workflows, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency. This hybrid role requires a professional who is comfortable working both onsite and remotely, has a strong understanding of hospital operations, and can effectively coordinate resources to achieve project goals. Responsibilities: • Project Planning & Execution: Develop project plans, define project scope and objectives, and coordinate activities to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with hospital administration, clinical staff, and IT teams to identify needs, gather requirements, and ensure alignment across departments. Process Improvement: Analyze current workflows within the hospital setting, identifying areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency and patient care. Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project milestones, resource allocation, and stakeholder expectations. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while meeting project goals. Compliance Assurance: Maintain awareness of healthcare regulations and ensure all project activities align with industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA). Requirements Qualifications: + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field. + Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with mandatory experience in a hospital or healthcare environment. + Technical Skills: Ability to create management reports and dashboards. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet) and knowledge of hospital management software (e.g., Epic, Cerner). + Certifications: PMP, CAPM, or other relevant certifications are highly preferred. + Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams in a healthcare setting. Preferred Skills: + Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and Joint Commission standards. + Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
