Posting Number NONAC3435 Job Title Project Manager Position Title Project Manager Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Department Marketing and Communications Position Summary The Project Manager reports to the Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications Operations. This individual will ensure coordination of all marketing and communications projects and create established workflows that align with standard operating procedures. The desired objective is to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and meet the desired quality and business relations standards.
A project manager for marketing and communications should have strong organizational and multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Additionally, a good understanding of marketing and communication processes gained through experience, and familiarity with project management software is beneficial.
Duties & Responsibilities
Managing project timelines and ensuring that all tasks are completed on schedule. Coordinating with various stakeholders, including designers, copywriters, business partners, vendors, etc., to gather project requirements and establish project priorities. Assigning resources and allocating work to team members based on their availability, skills, and workload capacity. Tracking the progress of projects and identifying potential bottlenecks or issues that may impact delivery timelines. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and seamless integration of tasks. Implementing project management tools and systems to streamline project workflows and improve efficiency. Monitoring project budgets and expenses to ensure they align with allocated resources and business partner expectations. Conducting regular status meetings or check-ins to keep all stakeholders informed about project progress. Resolving conflicts or issues that arise during the project lifecycle, such as scope changes or resource constraints. Continuously evaluating and optimizing processes to improve team productivity and overall project delivery. Write creative briefs that clearly articulate project goals and requirements Proactively identify potential risks and issues, and develop contingency plans to mitigate them Escalate issues to senior management as needed Prepare reports that summarize project progress and results Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, and share relevant information with team members Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and other agencies Special projects and other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field 4+ years’ experience in traffic management or a similar role in creative environment Strong project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management systems, with aptitude to learn new software and systems Solid organizational skills and multitasking ability
Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Lytho creative management system, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. Experience with web design and development Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles Project management certification
