The PM should have all the strong PM type stuff listed (and the resume must speak directly to most of these items… like managing risk and issue resolution, etc). AND, this PM should ideally have some sort of work experience in Engineering and/or Manufacturing business units.
This position will lead an initiative to enhance the IT controls within IT Engineering Services. This initiative will include changes to process and technologies utilized by engineers. Project team members will include a mix of IT technology experts as well as engineering managers. The role will report to a Program Manager who is overseeing a number of initiatives involving IT Engineering Services. The Project Leader will
interact with a large number of stakeholders across various IT functions across the client’s global footprint.
Manages the initiation, planning, implementation, and closure phases of the project in full compliance with the client's IT standard Project Delivery Process.
Plans and directs schedules and will monitor budget/spending.
Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and with budget constraints.
Defines and executes a communication and stakeholder management plan based on stakeholder analysis
Leads project team through the identification of current engineering practices, new requirements, and designs the new infrastructure and modified engineering processes to meet the new requirements
Identifies implementation resource requirements and secures them as needed
Defines and executes an implementation effort that makes the most efficient use of resources while minimizing the impact to the engineers using planning, communication and training activities as appropriate
This position has overall project management responsibility.

(Visible Externally) Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelors in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or related experience. MBA desirable.
PMP certification preferred.
5 to 8 years of project management experience
Proficient in use of Microsoft tools, including MS Server, Sharepoint, and MS Office tools
Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies including: Wintel Servers, Active Directory, and VMWare
Ability to present at the business executive level (verbal and written)
Input to and monitoring of internal project marketing/communications
Dependable, consistent work output is essential with high degree of attention to detail
Ability to work with, influence and build consensus between and among individuals and teams
Ability to challenge ideas and defend (justify) recommendations
Employ independent decision making, with the ability to self-direct work, set priorities, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
