Project Manager
Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage retail and restaurant projects. The role involves overseeing the entire client relationship from the initial assessment of client needs, through design concept presentations, and final delivery of the project, ensuring a positive client experience. The Project Manager will work with design and technical teams to define and understand the project scope, present and work with clients on approved projects, and establish and ensure adherence to set budgets. Responsibilities + Manage the overall client relationship from initial assessment through project delivery. + Work with design and technical teams to define project scope. + Present and collaborate with clients on approved projects. + Establish and ensure adherence to set budgets. + Inform Sr. PM, Project Director, and/or client of any potential budget variances and make appropriate modifications. + Manage collections for assigned projects and inform the Finance Manager of any issues with timely collections. + Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential clients. + Assign tasks, oversee work, and provide feedback to staff assigned to projects. + Manage and develop a team of 3 to 5 individuals. Essential Skills + 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience. + Commercial project experience, preferably in retail and restaurant sectors. + Knowledge of project management software such as Building Connected, Procore, and Microsoft Project. + Experience writing and negotiating contracts for services, consultants, and contractors. + Ability to communicate effectively and manage team members internally and externally at all levels. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in retail construction and commercial construction. + Proficiency in construction management. Work Environment This role is onsite 5 days a week in a newly renovated office in North Chicago, near O'Hare. The office has about 10-15 employees and offers a tight-knit culture. This is an opportunity to take on a new role, expand the business, and work with one of the top General Contractors in the Chicagoland area.
