Steampunk is seeking a Project Manager who is creative and is a hands-on expert with delivering innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities will include team leadership for the complete life cycle of solution development and delivery, providing Agile Project Management support and Scrum Master support for Agile teams, coordinating with product owners and stakeholders on prioritizing the backlog, creating release schedules and roadmaps based on assessment recommendations, and establishing technical practices and release management standards that align with the customer's process. This individual will also ensure the team is following, and effective at, Agile scrum processes as well as driving high client satisfaction.
ContributionsAs a Project Manager, you will be leading the project tasking and delivery in a government client consulting environment. You will be a client liaison, team coach, and mentor.
You will also:
Manage and maintain successful/results-oriented relationships with the client, as well as identify and pursue new opportunities with existing client.Develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, manage remote project delivery team, and possess the ability to facilitate technical discussions to troubleshoot project implementation issues.Assess the current organization and delivery environment and recommend optimal Agile practices tailored to the client.Provide the Agile Scrum Master support. Attend Agile ceremonies and provide input as needed. Remove blockers to ensure project success.Coach the Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization.Handle challenging client situations and offer technical and business guidance and direction to client executives.Lead and manage staff, monitor staff performance.Evaluate project feasibility, eliminate non-productive tasking, and find creative ways to ensure project delivery and if feasible accelerate delivery.Assist staff with training needs to create skills expansion and career advancement opportunities.Qualifications

Authorized to work for any U.S. employee and ability to obtain a U.S. government Public Trust Security ClearanceBachelor’s degree and 10+ years of total experience or equivalent combination of education and experience8+ years managing IT projects using agile methodologies and approaches5+ year experience with Scrum/Kanban MethodologiesAbility to establish immediate credibility with clients, build consensus, and achieve goals through influenceFlexibility to work with teams, individuals, and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and peopleExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExperience working in a complex engineering environment with prior experience as a technical project managerExperience working in a studio / human centered design approachPreferred:

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $175,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
