JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Project Manager (PM) is needed to manage and assist on several State of NJ, OIT internal projects.  OIT is looking for experienced PM to manage and assist with a human resource Identity Management; Asset Management and a database environment project.

 

The Project Manager (PM)  is needed to manage and assist on several State of NJ, OIT internal projects.   The PM will be working with Project Management Office with OIT on 3 key internal projects.  The projects are related to replacing an existing Identity Management application which is used to onboard and off board employees and contractors.   This application includes the automated provisioning of electronic assets such as logon ids as well as physical provisioning such as laptops.  Another project is related to asset management to track IT assets from initial acquisition through implementation and disposal.  The final project is related to Exadata platform and creating a database environment.   directs, administers, and regulates an enhancement or development program.  The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to drive the entire effort from start to finish.  The PM will be responsible for developing high level project schedule and complete of project requirements.  The PM will develop plans for project management; communications management and change management.   The Project Manager must ensure that the program is completed on schedule and that the final product meets the business, technical, and established quality requirements.  The PM will be writing reports, lessons learned and plans for management to keep them apprised of the status of the project.  The PM will be working with technical and non- technical staff members.

Years of Relevant Experience: 7 to 8 years

Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study

Role Description: All roles specified in PM2 plus the following:

Development of project schedule.

Development of plans including project; communications and change management.

Involved in the development of various documents such as final test reports; user acceptance plan and project closeout. 

Accountable for activities with excess delivery cycles of 8 to 12 months.
