Complete Description:

The Customer Insight Project Manager (CI PM) will be responsible for providing project management of a project associated with the design and redesign of VITA business processes associated with the Customer Lifecycle; development of a federated Customer Data Model; and development of VITA’s Customer Information Management strategy to include data governance processes, data quality requirements and procedures, and a Customer Insight technology roadmap.

 

This is not an IT project but a business project that is a component of a larger VITA Program called the ReVITAlization Program (the Program). Any IT project that may be approved for development will be managed by a separate Technical PM.

 

The CI PM is responsible for: developing the project charter and planning all aspects of the project in accordance with the Program Charter; project status reporting; resource, budget, risk, issue and change management for the project; and integration with Program component projects.  Ensure compliance with Program Management Plans. 

 

Must possess knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field desired, or equivalent work experience. 

Experience with business process design and redesign preferred.

Experience with building federated data models preferred.

Demonstrated ability: to analyze issues and develop solutions and recommendations for appropriate action; to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to prepare project documentation; to manage a matrixed team; and to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to work with multiple and diverse stakeholders, facilitating collaboration and consensus on plans, policies, and initiatives at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels. 

Must be PMP certified or Commonwealth of Virginia Project Certified
