Identifying the apropriate sources for data input into the internal dashboard for the Governor's Office of Recovery and Rebuilding (GORR).
Complete Description:
This project will consist of, but not be limited to, identifying all State Agencies that will receive federal funds for Sandy, coordinating the data inputs into the Governor’s internal dashboard and State interfaces, and working with developers to develop a State data warehouse for Sandy data.
More specifically, the Project Manager will be responsible to:
• Work with the Governor’s Office of Recovery and Rebuilding (GORR):
o Identify and document requirements for the GORR dashboard(s)
o Identify all Agencies that manage state grants for Super Storm Sandy
o Assist with data gathering and input to dashboard
o Identify other reporting and tracking requirements of the Governor’s office
• Work with the Comptroller’s Office to:
o Identify requirements
o Identify reporting requirements
• Work with the Office of Information Technology to:
o Manage the project following OIT’s Project Management Office project
managements standards
o Work with the Enterprise Data Services division to provide requirements
for a data warehouse
o Interface with the State Agencies to obtain requirements for their interface
into the State’s data warehouse and the Governor’s websites and
dashboards
o Interface with the Affinity Groups Leaders to coordinate Agency efforts
o Work with the Administrative Services division to provide requirements for
interfaces to the state Financial Systems
o Identify, document and manage risks and issues
o Develop all necessary project plans with relevant target dates (major
milestones, including start and end dates)
The Project Manager is responsible for managing various phases of the project. The Project Manager will carry out all actions necessary to meet the overall objectives and requirements of the project including:
• Identifying requirements of the Governor’s office and/or Agencies relating to the
fund tracking
• Identification of all data sources
• Identifying areas of potential inter-Agency sharing
• Identifying and managing a central data repository solution (i.e. data warehouse)
• Ensuring compatibility among Agency systems and solutions
• Identifying interfaces and feeds of inter-Agency data systems

Experience managing broad and large scale projects

Substantial experience and thorough knowledge of data warehouse

Ability to interact with the Executive professionals, and various levels of IT professionals

Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A drivers license valid in the State of NJ
