**Job Title: Project Manager**
**Job Description**
The Design and Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day efforts related to programming, planning, design, construction, and activation of small projects for Stanford Health Care (SHC) under the general supervision of the Director. This role ensures the completion of projects within budget, on schedule, while meeting all program objectives and appropriate governmental regulations. The Project Manager also acts as a liaison between the client/users and all other project participants including consultants, contractors, vendors, and outside jurisdictional agencies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assess and document project scope and program, describing the objectives, physical requirements, parameters, and constraints of the project.
+ Assist in the development of policies, guidelines, standards, and act as a department representative on committees and professional organizations.
+ Implement quality control measures to ensure project compliance with department, hospital, and university policies, government codes and regulations.
+ Maintain communications on a regular and timely basis, ensuring that all project participants are informed of project status, problems, and required actions.
+ Manage the process of furnishing and equipment selection, purchasing, and installation.
+ Manage the review and approval process to ensure appropriate approvals of all design work from schematic studies through final construction documents and related field changes and changes in scope.
+ Manage the selection process and contract negotiations for consultants, contractors, and vendors.
+ Prepare and maintain accurate, coherent, timely, and auditable project records/files, and cost estimates with department procedures.
+ Provide leadership and supervision to assigned consultants.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
+ Experience in construction management, change order, engineering, AutoCAD, electrical, budgeting, cost estimation, RFI, permitting, MEP, MEP design, OSHPD, tenant improvement, and full life cycle of projects.
+ Ability to budget, make financial projections, and write reports.
+ Ability to ensure project compliance with hospital infection control procedures.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups and gain their cooperation.
+ Ability to handle sensitive situations with consultative skills.
+ Ability to plan, organize, motivate, mentor, direct and evaluate the work of others.
+ Ability to prioritize work and develop solutions for complex problems.
+ Knowledge of CAD systems, CAFM, estimating, cost control, scheduling, construction administration, quality control, specification writing, and space planning.
+ Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university.
+ Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.
+ PMP, OSHA-10 certificate preferred.
+ Experience with PM Web for financials and Primavera P6 for scheduling is preferred.
+ Experience in healthcare or live critical facilities such as banking is preferred.

**Work Environment**
Working in an offsite facility based in Menlo Park, associated with the main hospital. The Project Management Office (PMO) oversees all construction tenant improvement projects within the main adult hospital for Stanford Health Care. This role is full-time in office, with no remote work. The department includes an EHS group, facilities, maintenance, and construction teams. The work schedule is 75% in office and 25% in the field.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menlo Park, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62.50 - $68.00
