Job Description:
The Project Manager will plan and oversee the building process of architectural millwork construction projects from start to finish. Projects are generally located in the NoVA/DC/Baltimore metro market with top national and regional commercial general contractors. The ideal candidate possesses a keen attention to detail, has a deep understanding of construction methods and processes, and can manage multiple jobs in various stages of construction.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor project progress to ensure customer expectations are met and projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, architects, vendors, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.Review and approve all shop drawings prior to client review, and update shop drawings accordingly based on client feedback.Obtain accurate field measurements.Negotiate and manage subcontractors as applicable.Ensure proper documentation, submission, and approval of change orders.Work with the accounting department to accurately process billings to customers.Serve as the primary point of contact between customers/stakeholders and our client.Perform jobsite visits and attend GC progress meetings as required.Determine and manage needed resources (manpower, equipment, materials, etc.) from start to finish, with attention to budgets.Plan all construction operations and schedule each phase of the process to ensure project deadlines will be met.Supervise the work of installers and provide guidance when needed.Ensure adherence to all governmental and company health and safety standards on the jobsite and report issues as applicable.Monitor and evaluate project profitability relative to budget.Complete punch out process and successfully close each project.Ability to manage multiple jobs in various stages of construction, from inception through installation and final customer sign-off.Skills/Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering preferred. Work experience in applicable construction trades is acceptable in lieu of a degree.Proficiency in AutoCAD, design, and millwork.4+ years of construction project management experience, preferably with a focus on custom millwork, casework, and cabinetry projects.Experience with analyzing job requirements, defining project scope, and developing project timelines for submittals, fabrication, and installation.Proficiency in project coordination and management within commercial construction.Experience with cabinet vision, cabinet assembly, and cabinetry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Experience with RFIs, instead of change orders, and estimation.Work Environment:
Opportunity to work on a hybrid schedule after 60 days of employment. Flexible schedule with project site visits. Opportunity to work closely with the team and see projects through from design to completion. Work on exciting commercial projects such as M&T Stadium.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00
