Our Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join Thales Underwater Systems (UWS) to provide support on the P15 Programme which is a UK MOD led programme to deliver the next generation of submarine technology to the Royal Navy.
You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Inboard Cabinet Integrator and UWTC aspects of the P15 programme, managing design, testing, integration, qualification and delivery to customer. With overall responsibility for the delivery of the Cabinet Integrator and UWTC work packages and responsible for achieving project objectives to the satisfaction of both the customer and Thales.
This role requires strong leadership, professional project management expertise, excellent stakeholder management, team building skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held; if not currently held it is expected that the post holder will undergo SC Clearance, please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
About you:-
You will have a proven track record of delivering successfully project within a complex multi- site organisation ideally within a similar industry together with:-
Leading the process of structuring and planning complex projects and the tailored deployment of best practice project controls anDirecting project activities with reference to the baseline and critical path, with a focus on proactive risk and opportunity management and controlling variance to time/cost/qualityProject financial and contractual managementDemand/business planning principles in a project context with a focus on the reliable forecasting of resource requirements (including critical skills) and working with adjacent functions to schedule those appropriatelyRepresenting projects through established governance, giving an evidence-based account of progress and distilling key risks/opportunities/support needed for Senior ManagementLeading and managing multi-disciplinary teamsManaging customer and supplier relationships#LI-ST1
