JOB SUMMARY:  MSI-CAC seeks a Project Manager to be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The Project Manager will also plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Prepares job schedule.                     Prepares job estimates for change orders. Exercises executive authority over the planning, direction and control of a designated project. Allocates and supervises the utilization of material and personnel resources assigned to the project. Applies to the project intensified management techniques, procedures and controls to endure compliance with contract and budget. Makes technical, personnel and business management decisions required by the project as authorized by his charter. Conducts close liaison and coordination with vendors, the General Contractor and other sub-contractors. Reports status of his project to company leadership on a recurring basis. Maintain safe work environment on all projects. Promote and participate in education and training opportunities that allow the company and its employees to meet stated goals, objectives and business plans. Participate in quality association with trade/business associations that enhance the company’s mission or business plan. Provide junior associates with a “role model” example of the company’s business and work ethic as delineated in MSI’s Mission Statement. Maintain Customer Sales log.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in field operations. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in scheduling, procurement and coordinating all aspects of Construction/Retrofit Projects  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to effectively manage and motivate employees. Good Verbal and written communications skills. Effective negotiator. Initiates monthly billing for jobs in process. Initiates schedule of values for job in conjunction with estimator. Conducts bi-monthly safety meeting on jobs. Computer Skills Excel Microsoft Projects Estimating Skills Technical Skills
